City Food Hall Doral occupies the space that used to operate as Shoma Bazaar, and if you haven't been back since the name changed, the format is worth a second look. The hall is organized into six distinct zones: Café/Bakery, Americana, Street Food, Asian/Raw, Biergarten, and Lounge Bar, so the layout functions more like a food court with a personality than a single restaurant. A few blocks west, Divieto Ristorante has been doing the opposite: staying exactly the same since it opened as the brand's flagship location in 2012. That's a meaningfully local sourcing footprint for a national chain, and it's the kind of detail that only shows up if you actually walk the aisles rather than assume every Whole Foods stocks the same shelf.

Just up the street, Chick-fil-A West Doral opened on May 21 with roughly 80 new jobs attached to the location. The hours run Monday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., extending to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday for drive-thru and mobile pickup. The location also built in an indoor play area, which is a small thing until you're the parent trying to eat a meal without holding a toddler's hand the entire time.

None of that is on NW 41st Street specifically, but it's the same pattern: national and regional brands filling in west Doral storefronts that stood empty for a while.
